Cancellation & Transfer Policy
Welcome to V.I.P. and our 2008 season offering you comfortable tours by motorcoach to many popular destinations. V.I.P. Tour & Charter Bus Co. is a family owned and operated business. We take pride and pleasure in serving our customers, whether a past customer or a new customer, we look forward to serving you, as you are a Very Important Person when you ride with us. Below, you will find our cancellation and transfer policy. We will be glad to sit down with you and answer any questions you may have and/or help you plan your group tour. Reservation Policy: Day tours must be paid in full within 5 days of tour booking to hold your reservation. All multi-day tours require a $50 deposit within 5 working days of booking and must be paid in full 30 days prior to departure. On some tours, the deposit could be more or less. Reservations made after the final payment date require payment in full at the time of the reservation.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued to all passengers whose cancellations are received prior to the final payment due date. Cancellations received on or after the final payment date are subject to a minimum cancellation fee of $50.00 per person plus any other non-recoverable expenses for which V.I.P. has contracted. Cancellations received within 30 days of the tour cannot be processed until the completion of the tour. No refund will be issued for cancellations received 14 days prior to departure. NO exceptions will be made. Cancellations and transfers must be made during business hours.

Portland Marginal Way Park & Ride, Exit 7 off I-295;
Biddeford Exit 32 (formerly Exit 4) Park & Ride;
Wells Exit19 (formerly Exit 2) Transportation Center;
Portsmouth, NH Exit 3 Park & Ride located on Route 33 - not the C & J Terminal location.
Other departure locations available on some trips at an additional cost.

Overnight Trips: Tour includes overnight accommodations, baggage handling, sightseeing admissions, transportation via V.I.P. TOUR & CHARTER BUS COMPANY, meals as listed in itinerary, tour escort service.

Not Included: Meals and attractions not specified, tips for drivers, escorts and chambermaids, telephone calls and other items of personal nature.

Tipping: Tips for all included features are paid by V.I.P. Tours except for room attendants. Tips to motorcoach operators and tour directors are not a necessary expense, however this gesture is customary. Such appreciation should be extended at the completion of the tour on a voluntary and individual basis for a job well done.

Responsibility: V.I.P. TOUR & CHARTER BUS COMPANY acts solely as agent on behalf of its tour patrons in arranging accommodations, sightseeing and other services. They are not responsible for deficiencies on the part of hotels, restaurants or any other company providing tour inclusions. V.I.P. TOURS acts only as agent for the owners or contractors providing other means of transportation or services and shall not become liable or responsible in any way in connection with such other means of transportation or other services for any loss, injury or damage to, or in respect of, person or property howsoever caused or arising. We reserve the right to change any arrangement herein set forth should condition necessitate, offering substitutes of equal value, or to cancel any scheduled tour. V.I.P. TOURS is not responsible for delays, extra expenses or any other inconveniences to passenger due to weather conditions or other “Act of God.” V.I.P. Additional Information

V.I.P. TOURS requests that customers who require special assistance or handicap accessible transportation please notify the office 48 hours in advance. Please also note that you are requested to contact the office 48 hours in advance if for some reason these services will not be required.

For the comfort and safety of all our passengers, the use of alcohol and tobacco products is prohibited in our coaches. Rest stops are made frequently so those who smoke will have the opportunity to smoke outside of the bus. V.I.P. reserves the right to refuse to transport any person or persons under the influence alcohol or drugs, or whose conduct is such as to be objectionable to other passengers or the safe operation of the vehicle.
